Bohktoh is a simple Thai word. People may wonder how it came to be the name of a brand. This is how it began.
In 2010, Miss Chonticha Srisawang started her small business on Instagram with the ambition to offer false eyelashes of the very best quality in Thailand’s online market. At the time, Miss Chonticha found that the available false eyelashes could not fully satisfy the beauty needs of today’s women and these led her to develop her own response with gorgeous, natural lash designs that are also light and comfortable to wear. She started a self-experimentation on the best eyelashes women want. Her very first collections were inspired from customers’ opinion. Little by little, Miss Chonticha took note of the strengths and weaknesses of the lashes she had tried, and her own lashes started to get into the customers’ mind. Word began to spread and recommendations passed from person to person. This was where the name “Bohktoh” came into the picture.
Bohktoh is a typical Thai word meaning “recommendation”. As people discover things they find to be very good, it is only natural for them to pass the word on similar to how the brand started. This word of mouth helped Bohktoh become more and more well-known, and the product’s quality proves that the buzz is true.
Since then, the brand has grown in popularity among leading makeup artists and celebrities from Thailand and ASEAN countries.
